LOL with Christ® provides subscription-based Christian counseling online and faith-based pastoral mentorship services delivered virtually across the United States, along with select physical products.

This Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations, session usage, refunds, product returns, and payment disputes are handled for our Christian counseling online platform.

This policy applies to both subscription-based counseling services and physical product purchases offered through our online store.

By purchasing or subscribing to our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

Billing Clarification

Billing begins at checkout when your first session is scheduled. Subscription charges are based on access to scheduled availability within each billing cycle and are not dependent on session attendance or usage.


1. Subscription Cancellation (Counseling Services)

Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

Cancellation:

  • Takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
  • Stops future renewals
  • Does not trigger prorated or mid-cycle refunds

You will retain access to scheduled sessions and messaging (if included in your plan) through the end of the active billing period.

We do not provide mid-cycle or prorated refunds.


2. Initial “Fit” Session Policy

Your first session is intended as a pastoral fit assessment.

If you determine that the counselor is not a good fit:

  • You may cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle begins
  • No additional renewal charges will occur

The initial session is:

  • Not refundable once completed
  • Not transferable across multiple counselors
  • Limited to one introductory session per subscriber

3. Missed Sessions & Late Cancellations

  • 24-hour advance notice is required to reschedule
  • Sessions missed without proper notice are forfeited
  • One courtesy late cancellation may be granted within a six-month period

Missed sessions are not refundable.

Sessions must be used within the active subscription period and do not roll over unless explicitly agreed in writing.


4. Refund Policy (Subscription Services)

Subscription fees:

  • Secure scheduled availability and counselor time
  • Are not contingent upon subjective satisfaction, outcomes, or perceived results

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Partially used billing cycles
  • Unused sessions within an active cycle
  • Dissatisfaction after services have been rendered

We may, at our sole discretion, offer a goodwill adjustment in exceptional circumstances. Such adjustments are not guaranteed and do not establish precedent.

All pricing is listed in USD.  Payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant third-party providers, including Shopify. LOL with Christ® does not store or have access to your full payment details.

Subscriptions renew automatically according to the selected billing interval unless canceled before the next billing date.

By completing checkout, you acknowledge and agree to this Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy and all related subscription and session usage terms.


5. Returns & Refunds for Physical Products

We accept returns of eligible physical products within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.

To qualify for return:

  • Items must be unused
  • Items must be in original condition and packaging
  • Proof of purchase may be required

Return shipping:

  • A return label may be provided
  • Return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected.

Certain items may not be eligible for return if marked as final sale or if they do not meet the return conditions outlined above.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide photo documentation

We may:

  • Offer a replacement
  • Issue a refund if replacement is unavailable

Refund eligibility is subject to verification of damage.


7. Digital Products (If Offered)

If digital downloads or paid digital resources are offered in the future:

  • Digital products are non-refundable once accessed or delivered
  • Access-based products cannot be returned

Currently, digital resources included with counseling subscriptions are provided at no additional cost and are not separately refundable.


8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting customer support may result in:

  • Suspension of services
  • Permanent account restriction

We reserve the right to provide documentation to payment processors in defense of disputed transactions.

No. We do not offer mid-cycle or prorated refunds. Access remains active through the end of your billing period.

Is the first counseling session refundable?

The first session is designed as a fit session. It is not refundable once completed. However, you may cancel before the next billing cycle begins to avoid future charges.

How long do I have to return a physical product?

Eligible physical products may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original condition.
