LOL with Christ® operates as an online platform providing virtual counseling services and does not offer in-person counseling services.
LOL with Christ® provides Christ-centered counseling subscriptions and biblical pastoral mentorship delivered virtually across the United States.
By using our services, you confirm that you are located within the United States.
This Counseling Services Policy explains the nature of our services, expectations, boundaries, scope of care, confidentiality standards, crisis protocol, subscription structure, and client responsibilities. We do not provide real-time crisis intervention or emergency monitoring.
By enrolling in our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Nature of Our Services
LOL with Christ® provides:
· Christian counseling online
· Biblical counseling
· Pastoral counseling and discipleship
· Faith-based mentorship
Our services are:
· Scripture-based
· Pastoral in nature
· Delivered virtually
· Subscription-based
We do not establish a licensed therapist-client, psychologist-client, or medical provider-patient relationship through use of our services.
Accordingly, we do not provide:
· Clinical therapy
· Psychiatric diagnosis
· Psychological treatment
· Medical services
· Telehealth under HIPAA
· Court-ordered counseling
· Crisis stabilization services
Our counseling is rooted in a Christian biblical worldview and is not secular or values-neutral. We do not guarantee specific results or outcomes from participation in our services.
2. Counselor Credentials & Structure
Counselors on our Platform:
• Have pastoral training and ministry experience
• May hold certifications aligned with AACC standards (where applicable)
• Are independently contracted
• Are vetted for ministry experience and relevant training
Counselors are not licensed therapists unless explicitly stated.
Independent counselors are solely responsible for the pastoral guidance they provide within the scope of this Policy. Nothing in this Policy creates an employment, agency, joint venture, or healthcare provider relationship between LOL with Christ® and any counselor.
We may implement additional screening, credential verification, or background review processes as our platform grows.
LOL with Christ® operates as a platform that connects clients with independent counselors and does not directly provide licensed clinical care.
3. Who This Is For / Not For
This Service Is Appropriate For:
· Christians seeking Scripture-based guidance
· Individuals desiring biblical perspective on relationships
· Spiritual growth and discipleship support
· Marriage and dating guidance
· Faith-based recovery support
· Life transitions and identity clarity
· Non-clinical anxiety or emotional struggles
This Service Is Not Appropriate For:
· Active suicidal ideation
· Threat of harm to self or others
· Domestic violence crisis intervention
· Severe psychiatric disorders requiring medical treatment
· Substance detox
· Court-mandated counseling
If a concern falls outside our scope, we may refer you to a licensed professional.
4. Session Structure & Expectations
Session Format
· All sessions are 45 minutes
· Delivered virtually via secure video (Zoom)
· Sessions are conducted via Zoom, and a secure meeting link is automatically provided after booking
· Scheduled through our booking system
· Messaging availability varies by subscription plan and is clearly described prior to purchase.
Sessions are scheduled after subscription through our platform, and clients receive confirmation and access details via email.
Late Arrivals
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.
Late arrival does not extend session length.
Rescheduling
· 24-hour notice required
· Sessions may be rescheduled within the same billing cycle
· One courtesy late cancellation allowed per six-month period
No-Shows
Sessions missed without 24-hour notice are forfeited.
Session Usage
Sessions must be used within the active subscription period and do not roll over unless agreed in writing.
5. Between-Session Communication
Messaging availability depends on your selected subscription plan.
Communication:
· Occurs through secure platform tools
· May include company email communication
· Is not therapy-level crisis intervention
Counselors do not communicate via personal phone numbers, personal email, or external messaging apps. Messaging is not monitored continuously and should not be used for emergencies, crisis situations, or time-sensitive concerns. Clients are responsible for seeking appropriate emergency services when necessary.
6. Crisis & Emergency Protocol
LOL with Christ® does not provide emergency services.
If you are experiencing:
· Suicidal thoughts
· Immediate danger
· Abuse
· Threat of harm
Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. Clients are solely responsible for securing appropriate emergency care within their geographic location when urgent or life-threatening circumstances arise.
If risk concerns arise during counseling, we may:
1. Encourage emergency contact
2. Provide crisis resources
3. Document the situation
4. Evaluate continuation of services
We reserve the right to contact emergency services when legally permissible and reasonably necessary. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from a client’s decision not to seek emergency care.
Our services are not designed for urgent or time-sensitive needs.
7. Confidentiality & Its Limits
Counseling communications are treated as confidential pastoral communications.
Confidentiality may be limited in cases involving:
· Threat of serious harm
· Suspected abuse
· Legal subpoena or court order
· Fraud or criminal activity
· Platform misuse
We are not governed by HIPAA but implement reasonable safeguards to protect communications.
Zoom sessions are not recorded.
8. Subscription Structure
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing info@lolwithchrist.com. Cancellation requests are simple and are typically processed within 24 hours during normal business operations. There are no cancellation fees, penalties, or additional charges for canceling your subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and no future charges will occur after cancellation becomes effective.
If your plan includes a free introductory session, the initial charge is discounted to $0 at checkout. A valid payment method is still required to begin your subscription.
LOL with Christ® offers:
• Weekly (4 sessions per month)
• Bi-weekly (2 sessions per month)
• Monthly (1 session per month)
Subscriptions:
• Auto-renew
• Billing begins at checkout when your first session is scheduled, even if your first session is free ($0 at checkout).
• May be canceled at any time
• Remain active through the current billing cycle
Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and renewal terms are clearly displayed prior to purchase.
Refunds are not issued for unused sessions, partially used billing cycles, or canceled subscriptions during an active billing period. We do not provide mid-cycle or prorated refunds. Subscription fees secure scheduled availability and counselor time and are not contingent upon subjective satisfaction, personal outcomes, or perceived results.
Plans may be paused where available in accordance with our subscription terms.
Payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant third-party providers. LOL with Christ® does not store or have access to your full payment details.
There are no hidden fees. All pricing, billing frequency, and renewal terms are clearly presented before checkout.
Subscription access is time-based and tied to the active billing cycle, regardless of session usage.
9. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if:
· Clinical or psychiatric care beyond our scope is reasonably indicated
· Boundaries are repeatedly violated
· Client behavior is abusive
· Non-payment occurs
· Spiritual incompatibility prevents effective service
Termination decisions are made to protect both client and counselor. Service termination decisions are made in good faith and are not based on protected characteristics under applicable law.
10. Spiritual Alignment Statement
All services are delivered within a Christian biblical framework.
We affirm:
· The authority of Scripture
· Christ-centered discipleship
· Faith-based moral and ethical alignment
Clients seeking secular or belief-neutral therapy should pursue licensed clinical providers.
11. Frequently Asked Questions
Is this therapy?
No. We provide biblical pastoral counseling and Christian mentorship. We do not establish a licensed therapist-client, psychologist-client, or medical provider-patient relationship, and our services are not a substitute for licensed clinical therapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Counseling communications are treated as confidential pastoral communications. Confidentiality is subject to the safety and legal exceptions described in this Policy, including situations involving risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse, fraud or criminal activity, or lawful court order.
Are sessions recorded?
No. Zoom cloud recording is disabled. Sessions are not recorded unless explicitly agreed to in writing by both parties.
Is messaging monitored 24/7?
No. Messaging is not monitored continuously and should not be used for emergencies, crisis situations, or time-sensitive concerns.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing info@lolwithchrist.com. Cancellation requests are simple and typically processed within 24 hours. Your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing cycle, and no future charges will occur after cancellation becomes effective. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.
Do sessions roll over?
No. Sessions do not roll over unless agreed to in writing.
What if I’m in crisis?
LOL with Christ® does not provide emergency services or real-time crisis monitoring. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, immediate danger, abuse, or urgent mental health concerns, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Clients are solely responsible for securing appropriate emergency care within their geographic location when urgent or life-threatening circumstances arise.
12. Governing Terms
This Counseling Services Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions.
This Policy and any disputes arising from services provided through LOL with Christ® are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
